🥗 Reducing food loss and waste can play a key role in transforming agrifood systems, increasing food availability, contributing to food security, healthy diets, and building resilience. 

🌳 It can also serve as a climate strategy by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and conserving natural resources. 

🍎 The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development calls for halving per-capita global food waste at the retail and consumer levels and reducing food losses along production and supply chains.
